Since I was a little girl, I would go to the Zoo of Córdoba with my mum or Eugenia.
I really enjoyed going there although I was certainly pained whenever I saw the state in which some of the animals were.
Despite that, the Zoo was a large green space, built on a 17-hectare land and surrounded by ravines and indigenous plants.
Many times I have tried to be a “Guardazoo”, a member of a team of volunteers who took care of the animals and who worked as guardians.
I had no luck in becoming one for different reasons: there was no date of registration and I was too young. I was accepted when I was 16 years old, in fifth grade. A new world was opening up to me: I was going to be a Guardazoo!
