As compensation, China Eastern Airlines offered to Ms. Zuo, its nickname given by the Chinese media, 100 yuan per kilo. As her dog had a weight of 35KG, Zuo could receive 3,500 yuan, or just under 700$CAN.
The story is still going on to find out exactly what happened during this flight. Another dog who made the trip with Doudou, on his side, arrived at his destination and seemed in good condition.
This story is not the first that involves China Eastern Airlines. In May, a golden retriever received more than 50 projectiles from an air gun at Wuhan Airport.
The staff opened the fire on the dog, named Ermao, as he had left his cage and was running in the parking area of the plane, according to People’s Daily. Ermao’s master said the airport staff spent an hour shooting at his dog rather than trying to catch him.
In summary, animal suffering is an important problem of society. Many people who live in rural areas in China have compassion for animals, but nothing can be changed if the discrimination and injustice are present in society.
Clanimal reiterates its call to boycott Chinese made products (and now adds of China Eastern Airlines!), so pressure is applied on Chinese rulers so they will understand to finally stop the Yulin Festival by using the mighty $$$!
No Clanimal doesn’t have the media projectors on it and yet its call comes from the heart and is fuelled by passion and strong logic…so Why Not!
If you agree, please repost this message on all your social media, and together join our voices and our money, to finally give a voice that will make the difference for all the dogs and animals in China!)
