Kemp and her daughter, Laura Young, told CBS News that they thought Pumpkin’s mother could come back for her, but unfortunately, this never happened.
The Bahamas Humane Society didn’t care about Pumpkin, but Young and her husband, William, didn’t want to abandon this “little garbage panda”.
So … Pumpkin moved with them! It’s legal to keep a raccoon as a pet in the Bahamas as long as it’s vaccinated. Pumpkin joined Laura and William as well as their two dogs, Toffee and Oreo.
As you can see, Pumpkin seems to be in good condition! So much, that she now considers herself a dog! Yes, yes, just watch these photos to see it. To do so, just click here.
Beautiful story, isn’t it?
